Well it’s been a couple of weeks since we last looked at Daniel.
Last Friday I was in West Virginia leading a youth group missions trip.
Many of you have been putting some great comments on Daniel.
It’s great to see you working through all this and applying it.

In chapter 3 we have a very familiar story of Shadrach, Meshach and Adednego.
It’s so easy to read it as a story which you heard in SS when you were little.
A story of how God protected 3 men who were faithful to Him and punished those who threw them into the furnace.
It’s a great story of God’s protection along with the courage of these men.

As you prepare to go out you will face opposition and persecution.
Satan will do what he can to stop and discourage you.
Hopefully you won’t have to face a fiery furnace and a very angry king, but you will face some type of opposition.
But we know that God is faithful and He will take care of you.
I love how these three men responded to King Neb in verses 16-18.
They knew that God could rescue them, but even if He chose not to they would never the image of gold set up.
  That’s taking a stand.

So, how does this chapter inspire you?
  How does it encourage you?
How can it help you as you prepare to go out for the year?
